What Are The Treatments For Mucus In Lungs And Breathing Problem?

hello doctor,
i have mucus in my lungs and cough once in a while.at night i can hear wheesing sound and at times i have difficulty in breathing.This problem has bee there for the last three months.this problem comes once i catch cold.is there any medicine for this

I can understand your situation and problem.
You are mostly having bronchitis.
It is inflammation of airways. And the most common cause is infection.
Your all symptoms like cough, expectoration, wheezing etc are suggestive of bronchitis only.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
For the diagnosis of bronchitis, PFT is needed.
It will also tell you about severity of the disease.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS). Oral expectorant and mucolytic drugs are also helpful in your case.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
