What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Duphaston?

Hello I have had several cancelled IVF cycles. for each cycle my doctor used to prescribe Duphaston on day 14 of the period for two weeks to induce my period. This cycle i did not take Duphastom because of the side effects (bloating). The doctor told me that not taking Duphaston will delay my period. My period has been delayed for around three weeks now and I regret not taking duphaston.Is it too late to take it and if not how should i take it to induce my period or is there any other medication that I should take for this purpose as I don't want to wait it out. Thanks
