What Are The White Stuff On My Swollen Tonsil?

i'm 27 years old. i quit smoking cigarettes 3 months ago. within a couple days after quitting, i got very sick for about a week and coughed up a lot of phlegm and snot. my right tonsil started to swell during this cold as well. after about a week of being sick, everything went away but not the swelling. i continued to watch this swelling in my tonsil for the past couple months, it aches every once and a while, and i get some pressure in my right ear that can be very annoying sometimes. 2 days ago, i noticed a lot of white (puss?) stuff on my right tonsil inside my mouth. it's really annoying to swallow or talk or do anything really. is this possibly tonsil stones? how can i be sure?

Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having infection of your tonsil.
The white stuff over the tonsil are localised pus called follicles.
This can be treated with penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines for 5 to 7 days.
Betadine mouth gargling also can be done.
If symptoms persists, surgery is advised.
