What Are The Withdrawal Side Effects Of Synthroid?

I have been on Synthroid for a month but have bloating and more constipation..so want to go off and perhaps see a Naturopath and change my diet instead. What symptoms will I have for withdrawal of this medication? I am also on Lyrica..which I also hate.

Hello,

I don't recommend you to stop taking Synthroid without doctor recommendations and without testing thyroid hormones.

You can change it with Eutirox or natural thyroid or thyronorm or other types of thyroid hormone substitution. Stopping it may be risky. There is not a special diet that substitutes the thyroid hormones.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
