Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Cymbalta is duloxetine and this is a SNRI drug. Sudden stoppage of this drug after chronic use result in withdrawal syndrome or serotonin withdrawal syndrome. The withdrawal effects are acute restlessness, dizziness, hypotension, tremors, poor concentration, loss of focus, insomnia, muscle pains, diarrhoea etc. So it is advisable to stop the drug by decreasing the doses by gradual tapering the doses. As you have forgotten the doses best thing that can be done is to visit a psychiatrist if possible. Medicines like Benzodiazepines as Clonazepam, Lorazepam in low doses will help in decreasing the anxiety and will help in sleep. Take diet rich in protein and carbohydrates and low in fat. Eating walnuts, hazelnuts will help in improving the anxiety.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
