What Are Whitish Discoloration On Throat And A Yellow Lump On Tonsils Suggestive Of?
About a month ago I visited the doctor as I had a yellow lump of what looked like puss on my tonsil, i suffer a bit with tonsilitis but this looks different. I was told it is nothing to worry about and left it at that. About 2 weeks ago i became ill with a sore throat and fever etc, my throat became white ish and veiny. The symptoms have now subsided but my throat is still veiny/white ish and the yellow lump still there. On the same side as the yellow lump just above the tonsil at the back i can see some yellow and big veins but tonsils are in the way to see clearly. Also I now have some mild ear ache and dizzyness. This is now a week since the other symptoms have passed,i saw a doctor again and told nothing is wrong. How long will it be for my throat to look normal again and should I return if it does not?

The lump with white discoloration in throat and yellow lump on tonsils indicate underlying inflammation of adenoid through staph or streptococcus bacteria most likely. My guidelines at present:
- Get a culture swab report of the area with expert microbiologist to get the precise bug diagnosis and antibiotics in accordance to that only
- Gargles with lukewarm water added epsom salt and peppermint oil
- Avoid aerated drinks, beverages and spices if consuming
