What Bite Causes Itchiness And Numbness In The Arm?

After playing in the backyard , amongst many trees & other debris , my 10 year old daughter has 4 bites on her arm which initially were itchy , became inflamed , have an opening on the surface & feel numb. We have been to the doctor received antibiotics and a cream however we are now concerned about the numbing as this was not mentioned to the GP. Does she need a blood test , are there any other precautions we need to do.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchiness and numbness in the arm. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like contact dermatitis , insect bite , nerve dysfunction or side effects of a medicine . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like skin patch test or allergy test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with anti inflammatory and corticosteroid ointment . Doctor may also give adrenaline shot in seever case or antidote in case of animal bite with poison .
