What Can I Do About An Upcoming Endometrial Biopsy When I Am Terrified About The Pain?

I have an endometrial biopsy scheduled for next week. I am terrified of the pain. What can you tell me? I have weakness, especially in my legs, going up stairs and things like that. Help. Also extended walking causes a pressure below my ribs in my back.

Hello,

Local anesthesia is used before performing endometrial biopsy. The procedure is painless after giving local anesthesia.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
