What Can I Do About Severe Constipation Leading To Bleeding After Taking Primolut-N For 2 Weeks?

Hi I am taking primolut the last 2 weeks and I am suffering terrible with constipation, every time I open my bowel it is causing me to bleed after. Could you suggest something please? I will be taking primolut for the next 6 months so I don’t want to become reliant on laxatives. Thank you

Hi,

Primolut-N is known to cause unusual vaginal bleeding, dry mouth, diarrhea, constipation etc. But these side effects resolve over the time. You can increase fibers in your diet, ample of water to control constipation. Or take mild stool softener like Duphalac if needed. Continue with the pills as advised and wait for the symptoms to go. Be in touch with your treating doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
