I have been using Porstino 2 for some time but i relized my periods have changed. I used to have a regular period for five days but now it could go on for like nine to ten days and flow comes in bits whiles at first it was very regular. What is the problem now
Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive pill. Compared with normal hormonal pills, emergency contraceptive pill will contain high doses of hormones. By repeated intake of emergency contraceptive pills the regular menstrual cycles will change because of alterations in the reproductive hormones. As you used emergency contraceptive pills for some time there is possibility that it might have altered your menstrual cycles and flow as you mentioned.
The steps that can help you are: -Try to avoid emergency contraceptive pills for a few months like three to four months. -After that also when you use there should be at least two month gap between two emergency contraceptive pills. Possibly with this measures your cycles may get regularize.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
