What Can I Do For Severe Lain In Throat?
Hi,
Three month back I had a throat infection (Pain was in: Jaw, ear, eye and throat). and one day I got blood in my spit. So I visited the doctor and took antibiotics for 10 weeks. But now a days again I am getting sever pain in throat (Below the jaws, but only in throat). Any suggestion please.

Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain in throat which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection or poor immunity of body. Infection may spreading to larynx region as well leading to inflammation of vocal cords if not treated . Pain and blood in throat can also occur due to infection , acid reflux or laryngitis , for that apply warm compresses on throat . Avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages. Avoid intake of sharp spicy food. You should apply mist humidifiers in room and take throat lozenges. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay . Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test or virus culture test. You should get an x ray of the chest and Immunoglobulin G levels checked for further treatment. If antibiotics are not working , then doctor may prescribe antiviral or stronger antibiotics along with decongestants and mucolytic agents . Doctor may also prescribe drug like sucralfate for healing of lining .
