What Can I Do To Manage Constant Pain And Tightness From My Knee To My Buttock?

Hi I ve been suffering from sciatica since October 2019. the pain has gone from my back and I don t get any more shooting pains up my leg. However I have constant pain or aching from back of knee up to buttock, tightness like constant cramp. I take pain killers when needed but noticed my stomach getting bigger. Have you any advice please.

Hello,

Sciatica mostly causes this kind of pain in the leg and buttock region. You have to avoid movements which cause pain to you and try to reduce those actions for a while and take other therapies like hot and cold pack applications other than pain killers, as it may cause abdominal gastritis.

Too much pain killers may cause distension indirectly, therefore, try to avoid pain killers for mild pain and consider hot pack followed by cold pack application with mild pain killers like Para or Diclo with restriction of excessive movements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
