What Can I Do To Treat An Infected Ingrown Toenail?

i have an infection from an ingrown toenail. i have had issues now for five months and i do not have have the means to see a doctor. what can i do? i have tried soaking in Epsom salt, triple antibacterial cream and keeping it clean and nothing seems to get rid of the infection.

Hi,

The in-grown nail has to be removed, otherwise it act as a focus of infection and won’t heal. You can consult a general surgeon and get it removed. You have to start a short course of antibiotics as well. You can take analgesics like Diclofenac for pain relief.
