What Can I Take To Loosen Stools And How To Get Rid Of Scar Due To Hysterectomy?

Well, I remember in 1986 when I had a baby, the first bowel movement was very painful. Can you recommend something to help with that first bowel movement or two? Also, can you recommend a good scar cream I can start using immediately after my radical hysterectomy on December 31? I understand I will have an incision from the naval down. Thank you.

Hello,

The painful motion is not due to hysterectomy.
Possible causes like anal fissure must be ruled out.

As a first line management you can take laxatives like lactulose can be tired. If symptoms persists better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Dr. Shinas Hussain
