I have a black lump on my lower lip unfortunately for quite some times now, (2years) but it looks like is more evident recently or I am paying more attention to it. I had an appointment with a dermatologist and he gave me betnovat which I daub it can be effective. What do you suggest please?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM
A black lump on the lower lip may be a benign mole or a malignant skin tumour.
It all depends on the duration of the lump, whether size is increasing over a period of time,Whether there is any change in the colour of the lump.
If answers to all this questions is 'yes',then it is most probably a malignant one.So it requires Biopsy and if possible excision.
Also malignant lumps are common in old age groups.
As your dermatologist has suggested Betnovat, most probaly it will be benign lump.No need to worry. It will be effective.
Thank you.
