What Can Be Done For A Protruding Chest Bone Muscle?

My son has a protruding chest bone he is 20 years old now and wants to see about getting it fixed. I was told when he was younger to wait until he quit growing. So I want to find out what to do next and find a great doctor that specializes in this area

HI
Well com to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the "Pectus carinatum" then clinical symptoms due to this would be main concern, if this is silent one then just do nothing, if this cause some cardiopulmonary symptoms then brace can be used, second in severe symptoms surgery can be done but still one has to use the brace too, some time physical build up can minimize the appearance the front protuberant of chest, but may not minimize the symptoms, in late age this could cause more problems, hope this information helps, take care.
