What Can Be Done For Pain And Burning Sensation While Swallowing After Choking On Food?
I sucked in a piece of chicken while eating a salad which made me choke, have trouble breathing and vomit some fluid up. I did not cough it up and after awhile I could at least swallow and breath better but now swallowing is very painful. With every swallow there is a bad burning sensation. It hurts to cough too. Is there anything I can do to soothe the pain when I swallow?

Probably previous piece of chicken may cause irritation if mucosa given pain. Only drink soft warm liquids for few days. If symptoms not improved please consult your gastroentrologist he will examine and do endoscopies then treat you accordingly.
