What Can Be Done For Stuck Feeling In Throat?

Hello! Last week (about 6 days ago) I was eating dinner and afterward I felt like I had accidentally gotten some food stuck above my throat, or between my throat and nasal passage. I kept swallowing and clearing my throat, but nothing. It doen t hurt at all, it just feels like having mucus or something that needs to be coughed up or hocked. Whatever it is, it doesn t feel big. I just want it out! any ideas?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

It may be mucosal irritation or foreign body sensation may be due to intake of spicy food or hot food. It may be due to pharyngitis or viral infection.

Use salt water gargling for five days.

Take rest, if symptoms don't improve, please consult your ENT specialist, he will examine your oral cavity then treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
