What Can Be Done To Treat Sleeplessness And Noise In Head After Taking Birth Control Pill?

I am a 51 year old women and I am currently on the pill for contraception. For the last year and especially that last two months, I have been bothered with a lack of sleep. At least 3 times in the past two months I have gone 24 hours without sleeping or have gotten 2-3 hours sleep at the most. I wake up constantly and just can t seem to turn off the noise in my head. I ve done my research, I exercise, do yoga, breathing exercies, I don t watch any kind of media (tv, IPad, computer) for at leat 2 hours before going to bed. I have tried Melatonin, Velarian Root, Remedy rescue, and Nyqel sleep. I am so tired I can hardly function. What else can I do?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The side effects that you are having after taking the birth control pill are all minor and are self limiting. These are likely to subside in next one or two cycles.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
