What Can Be Reason For Low Heart Beat Rate And High BP?

My dad has been having some problems for about 2 1/2 years now. It started out to what we all believed was strokes or TIA's. The first "episode" happened when he was holding a glass of water and dropped it and said he lost feeling on his left side. He was having severe headaches and constantly wanting to sleep and would be very moody. He went to the ER and they said they found nothing wrong. This would happen every now and again until a few days ago when it happened again but worse this time. He was laying in bed and he grabbed his head and his eyes went in the back of head and he started moaning and sweating so bad you could wring his shirt out. We called the ambulance and they said his heart rate was ranging between 36 -40 and his BP was 230/110 while he was having an "episode". They did an EKG and CT and said they found nothing wrong and sent him home saying it was just migranes. I'm not convinced?
