What Can Be The Bump On My Knee After Falling?

I fell 2 months ago and now have a bump on knee (when I bend my knee) and it is a little painful. Also the knee will bruise slightly towards the end of the day but after I get a good night sleep it looks normal again. Then it repeats this cycle again the next day.... and so on.

Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
This is classical of bursitis- the swelling coming on bending settle in the morning.

Initial course of an anti-inflammatory medicines for 7 to days should solve your problems.

MRI is necessary only if there are other symptoms or your Ortho Surgeon feels so..
Give rest, apply a knee cap, avoid strain on the knee.

Please consult an Orthopedic Surgeon.
