What Can Be The Cause For Clots And Bleeding After Taking Mifepristone And Misoprostol?

My girlfriend took 1 tab of mifepristone followed 48 hours after by 800mg misoprostol. 4 Golf ball sized clots were passed accompanied by heavy bleeding but the bleeding has stopped after just a day.. Has something gone wrong . I am a second year medical student myself and will be able to comprehend a technical reply . Please help me out . Thank you
