What Can Be The Cause For Severe Pain In The Vagina?

Im a 38yr.old female who has been getting sharp,shooting pains through my vagina and even in my rectum.These pains last for about 30 min.depending and are very scary not to mention painful.I've also been having severe numbness and tingling in my left hand only.I'm really starting to get scared at what this could be.I've just gone for a pap smear so now waiting for my results.I've also told my primary doctor about the numbness and tingling in my left hand.Do you have any idea on what this could be?
