What Can Be The Cause For Sudden Disability In Walking?

My uncle went to get out of bed last night and suddenly he is unable to walk. Still has feeling in feet and legs but can't walk. Taken to hospital and they are giving him tests - so far they are coming up with mini stroke????? My uncle is taking cumudin and has been for years. His blood pressure is currently 180 over 80 - he is 75.
