What Can Be The Cause For The Lump In The Throat?

I recently experienced a fractured nose as a result to a resident punching me in it. On Sunday after eating a soft taco, I developed a lump sensation in my throat that will not go away despite me trying different things like drinking hot tea, water, etc. I can still eat ok, but this morning I woke up with a scratchy throat that eventually went away. I dont know what this is and is starting to frustrate me. What could this lump be and could it be related to my fractured nose?

Your lump feeling in throat does not seem to be related with fractured nose. You did not mention time lapse between these two conditions. At the time of nose fracture bleeding trickles down in throat and can give rise to that sensation. Do you have any difficulty in nose breathing because mouth breathers can also have feeling of dry throat. Too much consumption of hot tea and taco can cause Laryngopharyngeal reflux / Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD/GORD). From the history you mentioned there seem nothing serious. Avoid the things which lead to your symptoms.
