What Can Be The Cause For The Pain In The Calf Muscle?

I usually walk 3 to 5 times a week 45 to an hour and 45 minutes. Two days ago I went down the stairs from the 7th floor to my car, went for 45 minute walk everything ok. The next day today my calves hurt so, that I feel irritable cuz I feel like I cant do anything. What happened?
