What Can Be The Reason For Itching All Over The Body?

Hello doctor am stephen,am 28years old,(.7(mheight,69kg.i was cured from epilepsy more than 5 years ago. my question is this yesterday i visited a new place i took a fanta blakcurrant soda and then i went back to my home area,in the afternoon i started feeling itchy all over my body and it hasnt stopped up to now and yet it is not the first time that i have taken fanta blakcurrant soda?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that itching all over the body can be due to allergic reaction and in case if do not think it is due to blackcurrant soda it can be due to any other food or medicine..
It can also be due to other allergens like any soap or detergent, poison ivy, skin cosmetic etc..
It can also be due to mite infestation causing Scabies..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can advise allergic testing if allergy is suspected..
In case if allergy is ruled out he can advise you to take anti allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine, steroids and cold sponges or cold compresses..
An Immunotherapy can also be given if there are recurring episodes..
In case of Scabies Prethermin lotion can be advised along with Oral Ivermectin and anti allergics to relieve itching..
