What Can Cause A Circular Red Non-itching Bumpy Knuckle Rash?

What can be causing a circular red non-itching bumpy knuckle rash? Have had for many, many months, primary physician doesn t know what it is, has prescribed triamcinolone acetonide ointment, first 0.1%, now 0.5%. Seems to be working but very, very slowly. Each circular red splotch seems to be made up of a cluster of smaller bumps. Too bad I can t attach a photo.

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is eczema.You must apply emolients over the affected area regularly. Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone can be applied over the affected area. Avoid the use of soap and detergents.
