What Can Cause A Pus Formation Near Pelvis?

Today while getting ready for wrk I had extreme pain across lower abdomen. Could barely walk. Er doc ordered ultrasound found complex fluid and or pus all in pelvis, round fal. Tubes and around ovaries. No fever, no history of STD. What could this be.
