Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of whooshing sound in the ear which are probably due to a condition known as Meniere's disease. Meniere's disease is a disorder of the inner ear and occurs due to abnormal volume or composition of fluid in the inner ear. Need not to worry. You should avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object. Apply warm compresses on ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and to rule out other conditions like acoustic neuroma and inner ear infection . Doctor may order certain test to confirm diagnosis like Hearing tests, Videonystagmography and Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials testing . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drugs , recommend hearing aid , vestibular nerve section procedure or Meniett device .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
