What Can Cause Ascites In A Normal Healthy Female ?
hi doctor , my sister is 24 years old she has two daughters and she was pregnant for the third time but she didn t want child she went to abort as she missed her first menstruation cycle ,she was diagnosed with ascites ...than she was diognosed negative in tuberculoses..she is having yellow discharge .what can be this docter she is absolutely normal in her routine but almost 1 liter ascites indicates what? and she was taking oral contraceptives .doctor has proscribed her becasoul once per day and ciprabig 500 twice a day .for 15 days and called her back after 15 days which specialist should we consult in this case? and what can be possibley deases? thank you

Hi,thanks for query.You need to consult a gastro surgeon and general physician for this.Ascites is not normal and one must look for the cause.It is possible that due to some liver problem or intestinal problem she has ascites.She needs some detail evaluation and then treatment.There could several other reasons also.
