What Can Cause Body Heat That Travels Up The Spine, Tingling Feelings In Hand And Numbness On Nose ?
Hi my sister is 39yrs she has lived in serveral places (iceland, japan, alaska, puerto rico and lives in Norfolk VA) she return from Puerto Rico about 3 to 4 wks ago and started to experience body heat that travels up her spine and to her head , she also gets tingling feelings in her hands and left side of body she has also mentioned numbness on her nose, she has been to several doctors and no answers to what she has - any ideal what this can be caused from or what is causing these issues one more thing she also cannot sleep
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Is she a smoker, hypertensive or diabetic. Since she has tingling and numbness it could be nerve compression or vasculitis. She can be evaluated for that. If she has been in areas which harbour ticks, a tick bite could have caused Lyme disease. Look for a rash on her limbs, torso and also scalp. Lyme disease can cause peripheral neuropathy as mentioned. You need to ask her to explain why she doesn't sleep. Is it lack of sleep or is it due to pain or any sensory disturbance in the body. Also has there been any bad event in her life recently for which she had to go through and probably was depressed for a long time.
