What Can Cause Dark Vaginal Spotting While On Trynessa Birth Control Pills?

While on vacation this past week I’ve noticed my discharge is darker than normal like I’m spotting but I’m in the middle of my trynessa birth control and shouldn’t have my period for 2 more weeks. I thought it might be a yeast infection but I have no other symptoms.

Hi,

It can be a vaginal infection like thrush or bacterial vaginosis. You can go for a vaginal swab to make a diagnosis.
As a first line of management you can use Clotrimazole vaginal lotion to cleanse your genitals.
If symptoms are persistent you can consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.
