What Can Cause Double Vision And Bright Light In The Field Of Vision?

Occasional double vision last 3 years. Episodes have increased in last month. 3 yrs ago had MRI of brain , negative. 3 years of thyroid labs, normal ( on thyroxine). Seen opthamo!ogist, full exam last 3 yrs, normal. Shooting lights occurred out of right eye about a month ago, for 3/4 days then stopped. Seems like after that the double vision episodes frequently increased.

Hi,

Shooting lights unless otherwise specified always point towards a retinal disease . Therefore please get that done as a retinal hole or tear can eventually cause retinal detachment which needs surgery.
