What Can Cause Elevated GGT And ALP Levels During Pregnancy?

My wife is 35 weeks pregnant, recent she had some itching problem almost whole body and to her vagina, she was prescribed clingen vaginal pessary and adivsed LFT to be done, her SGOT and SPOT levels are normal, but she had slightly raised GGT and ALP levels, her vaginal itching is subsided by the use of clingen now she has been prescribed Udiliv 300 mg tablet twice daily for 1 week..my question is what is the reason for eleveated GGT and ALP levels, and is it safe to take udiliv ?PS she also has problem of very frequent abdominal tightness for which has taken tab Tidilan for one month.

It is called cholestasis of pregnancy and is seen in around 3% of cases.
