Hello,

That picture you describe is a little worrying. Headaches with episodes of loss of consciousness should be investigated.

Loss of consciousness may have many different causes but the association with headaches raises the suspicion for the fainting episodes being seizures.

In that case, head CT scan or MRI, as well as an EEG, are recommended to search for epileptiform brain activity in the brain and potential brain lesions originating it.

If nothing is found then metabolic or heart-related causes should be next investigated for.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olsi Taka, Neurologist
