What Can Cause Feet To Turn Dark Purple In Color And Become Cold?

last week my second toe on each foot started hurting bad, could barely touch the tips of them it hurt so bad. I was going to make a dr. appt the other day then they felt better, then they started to itch and now they are turning a dark purple color, they dont hurt really anymore but are always cold, what could this be?
