What Can Cause Frequent Ear Block?

Hi. May I ask how serious is it to experience a chronic ear block or very muffled hearing? Though the symptom is chronic but it comes and goes. I also noticed that the ear block starts when i wake up from my sleep. Is there any specific tests that I should get done?

Hello,

Conditions like sinusitis or adenotonsilitis are possibilities. As a first line management you can do steam inhalation for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.
