What Can Cause Persistent Cough?

Hi, I have constant cough for over few years. I was wondering if you could tell me which of the most common diagnosis is most likely - UACD, NAEB or GERB. I don't have any associated symptoms. The sputum is stringy (would it indicate NAEB, or the sputum itself isn't indicative for that dg). Beside I have deviated nasal septum, but I don't have the feeling of 'dripping'. Thanks.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
Sorry to say but I can't understand the short forms you have written.
You are having chronic cough and this is commonly seen with bronchitis.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system, chest x ray and PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
