What Can Cause Sunken Eyes In A Person With Fast Metabolism?
my eye seems to have sunken into my socket, giving me a skeletal look. I have a very fast matabalism and eat a lot about 3500 calories a day on average. Yet i still never gain weight. my question is why has my eye sunkin in so much like my eyelid is actually folded when my eyes are opened normal
** 1. weight loss despite adequate intake of food points to some hormonal cause of the pathology mainly over active thyroid [hyperthyroidism], or type 1 diabetes mellitus, get these tests done for further line of management or investigations. [other notable causes of weight loss are malabsorption, malnutrition, cirrhosis of liver, addison's disease, motor neuron disease, pulmonary tuberculosis]
PS. Since hypermetabolism itself is a symptom and not an independent disease, thus treatment first and foremost requires attention to the underlying disease. Usually once the underlying cause is treated, the symptoms will subside.
