Dear sir i can understand your concern, you are on mono therapy with
metformin shifting you to triple drug at once is not a logical move.
In my opinion we should use medications very carefully in diabetes because with heavy usage your pancreas may go int secondary failure and will not respond to medicine.
The best treatment will be intensifying the dose of metformin along with diet and exercise
if sugars are not controlling then plan adding second line of medications like
gliclazide or
glipizide or A new group of drugs also available like
sitagliptin which are having very good profile in terms of
hypoglycemia.
i can guide you better if you provide me your test results, height ,weight, duration of diabetes
I suppose I have given the desired response if you have any other query please write back.
Otherwise please accept & rate my answer. I will appreciate your review about my answer.
Best Regards.
