What Can Soreness In Throat And Severe Discomfort Mean?

Hi, I have been feeling uncomfortable for a while now. It comes and I goes but it bothers me a lot. I feel that there is something is stuck in my throat and sometimes I feel my glands are also getting sore. I've been to an specialist but he didn't see anything wrong in my throat. It feels like a soft cooked rice that is not going down. I have not eaten rice for a while but somehow it feels like there is something stuck there. Can you help me?

Hi
It could be a pharyngitis and or oesophagistis . It occurs due to gastoesophageal reflux. For my patients i usually treat the condition with Proton pump inhibitors like pantoperazole and antiemetics like doperidone given in sustained release form early morning every day before meals for one month. If there is any infection i give azithromycine also.Honey and lemon combination gives good relief. You can take a vitamin C preparation for chewing also.Drinking very hot should be avoided like hot tea.Alcohol and smoking also make the situation worse.Hope this may help you.thanks
