General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

There can be various reasons for severely intense headache as high BP, anxiety, migraine or other issues.

An evaluation with a neurologist to proceed for primary evaluation and let him or her decision for the need for CT or MRI ahead as per the clinical experience.

As the evaluation consists of exposure to radiation, a clinician is a better person to fix the need rather than self.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
