Hello,

I read your message carefully and understood your medical issue.

First of all, I would say that in the condition your husband is, hard physical movements or efforts are harmful.

He has three herniated spinal discs and further physical efforts may lead to further herniation, new hernias, and damages of nerves that can even paralyze him.

The herniated mass compresses the nerves causing by this way numbness, pain or weird sensations in legs.

Surgery will correct the hernias and relieve the pressure on the nerves. This will help him have less pain and better life quality in the future but he definitely must not expose himself to excessive or strong physical effort like lifting heavy weights or fitness work.

A close consultation with orthopedic surgeon and physiotherapist is highly recommended.

I hope this was helpful for you.
