What Casues Discoloration And Wrinkles On The Skin Of An Infant?

My son is 3 months and I believe he was born with this abnormal condition on his back. It becomes a dark area that wrinkles up when you touch it. Then in a 30 seconds it will go away to normal skin. What is this? Is this something I need to be worried about?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

In some children, there will be darker patch on the back and it is called “Mongolian patch”. No specific treatment is required. But the wrinkles are not so common and you can consult a pediatrician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
