What Casues Dizziness And Breathing Difficulty While On Lisinopril?

Hi - I am a 69 yo female - generally good health. I take 10 mg lisinopril daily for high bp. Am a 3+ year breast cancer survivor. Have sleep apnea, osteoarthritis in hands and carpal tunnel (last 2 very recent). This morning during my exercises on the floor I felt very dizzy. Been a little light-headed on and off all day. Just went out to hang clothes to dry and looked up and got so dizzy I fell straight down. After some deep breaths I was able to get up and come inside. Blood pressure was 160/86 and pulse was 65. Any ideas? AND thank you!

hello. feeling dizzy during exercise could be due to dehydration or postural hypotension (sudden standing or getting up from a bent down position causes decreased blood flow to brain). In hypertensive patients, orthostatic hypotention could also cause dizziness due to uncontrolled hypertension. You can consult your physician and ask him/her if you need to increase your dosage.
