What Casues Flu Like Symptoms While On Flecainide?

My husband is on flecainide about a month now; the last 11 days on 2 doses a day of 2 pills each dose (50 mg per pill). He is today having flu-like symptoms. He is supposed to have a cardio version on Tuesday morning. Apparently flu symptoms can happen. How common is it?

Though flecenide can cause fever and nausea and malaise ..Howe've typical flue like symptoms are not common with it.
I understand these may not be related to the drug especially if he has been using if for 1 moths .
