What Casues Rapid Heart Rate With Burning Pain?

I am 24 year male. I'm 5ft 7" tall and I weigh 69 kg. I drink 2 bottles of 375 volume of beer with 10.1% of alcohol every evening after work. My heart beats faster than normal if I work harder or ran for 30 seconds. I sometimes feel pain and some burning sensation in my chest. What is my problem and how can you help me?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

After going through your medical query I understand your concern & I would like to tell you that alcohol can cause you heart burn and palpitations which is most likely has happened in your case. You can take any over the counter anti acid and relax yourself. If it doesn't help then kindly get an ECG and Echocardiography to exclude the risk of structural heart disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

You may be suffering from alcohol-induced gastritis with atrial fibrillation.

Some research suggests that having as little as one to three alcoholic drinks each day may increase your risk for atrial fibrillation (Afib).

The most common abnormal heart rhythm, Afib causes symptoms including lack of energy, dizziness, shortness of breath, heart palpitations and chest pain.

It is better to avoid alcohol, avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Do yoga and meditation regularly. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.

If symptoms don't improve, please consult your cardiologist. He will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
