What Caues Vaginal Bleeding While Having An Implanon Insert?
Hi, I have had the implanon for just over two years. I Started bleeding on the 9th of October last months, stopped for not even 2 weeks and now i have started bleeding again. i have also had large clots in the blood and fatigue. my gp continues to tell me its normal, i disagree?
I can understand your concern. Having long menstrual cycles or cramps for as long as up to 6 months is a common finding after Implanon insertion. However, if you have had it for two years, the menstrual problems cannot be associated with that.
I would advise you not to go to your GP and instead consult a gynecologist. There might be presence of infection in the insertion area or some other disorders such as hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, polycystic ovaries etc. Your gynecologist will examine you and may prescribe tests for diagnosis. Treatment can be advised based on diagnosis.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic for your concern. I wish you find relief from bleeding soon!
