Hi, thank you for asking healthcare magic
I understand your concerns
The brown/reddish mucus-like discharge you saw is called mucus plug. It is produced by the body during
pregnancy and it blocks the entrance into the womb. In some women especially at term, it is a sign that labour might be imminent.
No need to worry so much. The fact that the baby is actively kicking indicates that the baby is fine.
What you need to do for now is an
ultrasound to verify if the placenta is still in tact throughout. Trauma during pregnancy can increase the risk of early placenta separation. In some cases there might be bleeding but in others, the bleeding is concealed.
You should see a doctor if you start feeling pain under your abdomen.
I hope I have answered your query
I wish you and your baby well
